There are many studies that show how important handwriting is for brain development and memory.
No more boring worksheets, now cursive handwriting practice is like playing a game of "Old Maid" with a twist!
Here is an "Old Maid" style game for matching uppercase and lowercase letters in cursive to strengthen alphabet awareness and letter recognition. The blank "erased" card acts as the extra while letter pairs are matched.
There are two types of card decks included: 3 line and bottom line.
The game can easily be differentiated with optional cursive handwriting activities to practice writing the letters you match or think of words that start with those letters and write them. Even if you are homeschooling different ages, they can play together and each produce a sheet to add to their student portfolio.
I have also included blank cards to design your own font, another great activity for older students. You will be using this set for years!
