Students will pretend they are traveling on the Erie Canal and are sending a postcard to a friend/relative telling them about their experience. Students will create a postcard by drawing a map (link provided to a traceable map) of the Erie Canal on the front of their postcard, and on the back of their postcard, they will write their letter. I have included the important information students need to include on their postcards, and I have provided websites they will use for research. An answer key is included. Please message me if you have any questions.
