Errors, Errors Everywhere
We constantly tell our students how important it is to know the rules of the English language, so they don’t make silly grammatical mistakes. This is not only important as a student who is trying hard to get a top grade, but you can also look pretty silly as a business person, or respected member of society when you slip up.
This task has the students look critically at the text that surrounds them in everyday life. They find it very rewarding to be able to correct errors in published text (they feel like they actually know what they are doing!)
It has also lead to a good class laugh at many signs, logos, slogans!
