This is a spelling activity that offers students some choice in how they practice spelling words. Students must find their way to one of the maze's exits. Along the way, they must pick up a teacher-designated number of "keys" which are simply activities to complete.
Example: The teacher indicates that three keys are needed to escape the Spelling Dungeon. A student starts in the center of the maze and uses his/her pencil to find a way to an exit. Along the way, he/she touches the following letters with his/her pencil: B, C, and G. So according to the guide in the lower right of the sheet, he/she would write each word in a sentence (key B), list the words in an alphabetical list (key C), and make a set of flash cards with a word on each card (key G). The student would then turn in the Escape From the Spelling Dungeon sheet along with the required key activities chosen.
Don't like the key activities? I wanted to also include a word document with this product to allow for easy editing, but I'm just not tech-savvy enough to figure that out. So I would suggest typing your own key activities, and doing the old fashioned cut and paste method to replace the ones I have provided. Sorry for the inconvenience!
