Escape rooms are all the rage for adults now, but why not challenge our students in a similar way? This back to school escape room is a great way to get students to use what they have learned about your classroom and their classmates in a unique way. It gets students active, moving and working together, and reviews those basic procedures we teach in the beginning of the school year.
Your students will work in teams to search for clues using their knowledge of your classroom and the supplies they can find there. They will then unscramble letters for a "golden rule" character lesson. There are supplies provided in this packet for 3 different teams. However, you could also do this same activity three times if you choose to have your class not work in teams.
This packet provides you with multiple ways to make the escape room easier or more challenging, depending on the needs of your students. Also, based on the requests of multiple teachers, I have included an editable version so that you can tweak it for your specific classroom.
