Escape The Apple Orchard
Numbers 1-10 And Counting Backwards From 10-1
Your students are very tired farmers who are trapped inside the apple orchard until all of the apples are picked. Each 'pick' of an apple requires a repetitive, number related task that they must finish. As each task is finished, an apple will be picked and a puzzle piece will be earned. A new task will then begin. When all the tasks have been completed and there are no more apples on the tree, they will be able to unlock the box which holds the key to their escape.
This resource is designed for younger children in a group setting. There will be worksheet related tasks and a movement activity at the end of the game.
This game is not timed. However, you can give it an air of urgency with just your words or you can use an actual timer.
To shorten the game, you can easily adapt it to numbers 1-5.
Items you may want to have but are not required: 2 small boxes, baskets, or bags, and envelopes.
