"During Math class, your Principal makes an announcement that there has been a hazardous spill of an infectious virus sample in one of the Biology Labs. She says that everyone must evacuate the building, and meet at the “Safe Zone” outside. Your classroom is on the second floor and a long way from the regular exit. You have heard that there is another, closer exit through one of the classrooms on your floor, but you aren’t sure which one. You and a small group of friends from Math class decide to borrow the teacher’s key ring and look for the closer exit. There is only one key on the key ring. The key will open only one door. You must work to find which door it will open, and then you must work your way around that room to find the exit to the “Safe Zone.” Work carefully! If you make a mistake, you could become...INFECTED!!!"
In groups of 3-5, students must work together to solve Geometry Measurement problems in order to get out in time! This resource can be used again and again! Just by choosing a different key, students are given an entirely new path of practice with new problems to solve!
