Escape room style reading test prep. This escape room will help prepare middle school students for state reading assessments. This interactive escape room requires technology. Students will need to access a google form, so any technology that allows them to access and complete a google form will work!
There are 4 stations they must complete to escape.
Students will read the short story "Thank You, Ma'am" and put the parts of the plot diagram in the correct spot. This will create a code that they will enter into the google form.
Students will read a non-fiction paragraph. They will have to determine which text structure is being used and then put the correct parts of the story into the text structure. This will create a code that they will enter into the google form.
Students will have to match key reading terms (theme, point of view, internal conflict, and tone) to the correct definition. This will create a code that they will enter into the google form.
Students will read a poem. Students will match vocabulary words from the poem with the correct definition using their context clues. This will create a code that they will enter into the google form.
Make the days leading up to your test fun with this highly engaging activity!
