Escape Room What Am I? vocabulary
Description
This is a set of 7 different activities to solve. Each set is a different vocabulary category. Each set has a list of clues that goes with the colored boxes. Younger students can draw pictures for their responses. Older students can write out the words. Black and white response sheets are included for this. Color master sheets are included to indicate where the responses should go. The clues are color coded.
As each set of clues are completed and handed in, the students will be given some other task, such as a math question or a word clue to complete in order to receive a lock. Note: there are 2 versions for the math questions. Set 2 is more difficult.)
The object is to obtain the 6 different locks and attach them to the hasp. After obtaining all the locks, the secret word needs to be unscrambled in order to open the hasp. (Each lock has a different letter for the secret word.)
This works well with small groups of 3 or 4 students collaborating together. Each group should receive an empty hasp and the clues for the different sets of vocabulary. They could be placed in a large envelope along with the response pages to make it easier to manage. I laminated my locks so that they can be used again. It might also be fun to put velcro dots on the locks so they can actually be attached to the hasp as they are received.
Full size pages are included for teachers wishing to project the pages. Reduced pages in black and white with 2 on each are included for printing out for students.

colors - key lock (the key)
clothing - clasp lock (seasons)
food - word lock (milk)
sports - number lock
animals - direction lock (N,S,E,W)
occupations - 3 digit lock
weather - final lock (rainbow)

Sets of locks are included to be cut out and handed to the groups as they complete the tasks (Copies of set 1 or set 2 can be made depending on the difficulty needed. Make one set for each group.)
