This is a literature study for Chris Grabenstein's Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. It contains a teacher guide, student notebook, exit tickets for formative and summative assessments, and several bonus activities (riddles, brain teasers, etc.) through which students may earn puzzle cards (also included)..
The teacher guide includes teaching notes for each chapter addressed, and an answer key for all components is provided as well.
Activities in the student notebook and exit tickets directly align with Common Core ELA standards. Fourth grade standards are listed with each task, but these can easily be adapted to 3rd, 5th or 6th grade standards.
When creating this literature study, I tried combine fun and challenging activities for students to take part in as well as critical tools that teachers may use for assessment purposes.
