This is a discounted bundle of the two Revising and Editing Lock Box games for 4th grade Writing Review! These games are modeled after the “Escape Room”or Breakout EDU idea.
In each game, students are given a series of 5 Language Arts tasks that they must solve in order to find the “code” to unlock 5 different locks that are attached to a lock box with some kind of reward inside. There are a total of 24 revising questions included and 22 editing questions, mostly in Task Card format between the two games. This is a great way to review for an assessment. We use it to review the TEKS for the STAAR Writing Assessment, but it will work for any grammar assessment or even for a fun engaging acitivity after STAAR.
These lock box games have been BY FAR our kids’ favorite thing we’ve done! It takes a little bit of preparation, but it’s so worth it to hear how excited the kids were and how much fun they had LEARNING!! When we played it, students had to work together cooperatively to solve each of the tasks...one by one.
Check out the previews for each game to get a good idea of what is included.
If you do not want to buy the locks and the kit, we have made a digital Google Form that students can put their "codes" into to check.
