OVERVIEW:

This "Escape the Room" resource is designed for groups of students to work together to find and solve different multiplication activities throughout their classroom. Each activity requires and rewards different items that students will need to escape the room. This activity is themed as a pirate adventure.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

7 Activities: This resource asks students to solve seven different mathematical activities that involve place value, addition, and subtraction.

1.Supply the Ship (Multiplication Comparison Statements) - This activity asks students to calculate the amount of supplies they will need on their journey. Students will need to solve multiplication comparison statements and some basic multiplication and addition to find the total gold they need.

2. Compass Rose (The Zeros Trick) - This activity asks students to solve 15 multiplication problems using the zeros trick. Students will then take their answers and apply it to a pirate code to find a code that will help them proceed on their adventure.

3. Set the Course (1 x 2 Digit Multiplication) - This activity asks students to find the missing numbers on the helm by solving multiplication problems.

4. The Shark's Lair (1 x 4 Digit Multiplication) - This activity asks students to find the correct path to navigate the treacherous seas by solving multiplication problems.

5. Dead Man's Tale (Multiplication Comparison Story Problems) - This activity asks students to solve eight multiplication comparison story problems. Students will then use their answer to solve an additional problem.

6. Mysterious Lockbox (1 x 3 Digit Multiplication) - This activity asks students to discover a way to open the lockbox. Students will need to turn wheels until every multiplication equation is correct.

7. Build the Key (Vocabulary) This activity asks students to put together a key puzzle by using important vocabulary and their definitions related to multiplication.
