This no prep, no mess art history lesson introduces students to the artist MC Escher. These no prep art history interactive coloring sheets are made with the classroom teacher in mind.
The lesson takes students through an understanding of the artist and the concept of tessellations. Multiple coloring sheets of the artist's work, tessellations and impossible objects are included. Students then apply their knowledge to create their own tessellation design through cutting and taping a square and tracing it onto the worksheet included, then by drawing a tessellation by shape on a worksheet and finally each student will color a butterfly that will be used to create a collaborative display of butterfly art for the culminating project.
