Handout has 15 critical thinking questions for the short story "Espuma y nada más" written by Hernando Téllez (Colombia). I have students read this story as well as "Un día de estos" by Gabriel García Márquez. Then students compare both stories using a Venn Diagram. Both stories are part of my Colombia unit and make connections to the era known as "La Violencia". An era of many years of civil wars in Colombia. Great way to make connections to Social Studies.
