The checklist distinguishes between the differences of revising and editing. To use the system, students make all revisions using a green pen (symbolizes the writing is "continuing" to move forward). The editing uses a red pen (symbolizes the writing is "done" and ready to publish).
Students are not only asked to complete the check list but to also write comments both on the sheet and on their peer's paper.
