PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Your students will compare and contrast three poems by Langston Hughes: "Let America Be America Again", "Words Like Freedom", and "Democracy".

Students will analyze poems for tone, theme, and figures of speech to write a multi paragraph compare and contrast essay.

Day one is used for analyzing the poems (charts are included to help student progress) and starting the essay. There is an essay organizer for struggling students or for lower secondary grades.

The second day students will use their essay organizer to help them write their final draft essay.
