This is an essay outline that has been well fielded in the classroom. It is a simple, student friendly, easy to use essay outline with guiding questions that I have been using with my students for years. I've also included an annotated bibliography handout (1 page per source cited) that is designed for use with internet databases. It's beauty is that it is versatile and may be used for any kind of essay. It walks students step by step through the elements of an essay, while leaving some room for individual writing and teaching styles. When completed, it essentially is the rough draft of an essay. Each page is one paragraph making it easier to chunk. Included are two versions. The first can be used either for STAAR styled one page essays, younger students, as a scaffold, or as a modification. The second version is a little bit more open-ended though essentially the same.
