This package has 3 different interpretive, interpersonal and presentational activities (at the novice-mid level) related to the seasons and weather in Spain, including clothing. The activities are connected to science (ºF/ºC; reading a weather chart) and social studies (climate in Spain). The language targeted is: es, hay, lleva, porque, along with weather expressions and names of seasons.
Using pictures of different cities in Spain, students explain what season they think it is using visual clues (or for a lower level, they match the description with the picture). Using a weather map of Spain, students find temperatures in targeted cities and decide what are the coldest/warmest regions in Spain. Looking at weather charts from different seasons in Madrid, students write about the weather on a specific day and describe the clothes they would wear.
