This easy-to-prepare math activity will help your students become more comfortable with estimation in their early stages of learning.
To Play: students should first estimate how many rolls they think it will take for them to reach _____ (this number could be 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 - depending on the version they are playing). Students should roll the dice and color in the corresponding number of spaces on the number chart. The students should make tally marks each time they roll the dice in order to analyze their estimation in the end. Students should continue rolling and tallying until they have reached or gone beyond their target number.
