Students practice estimating square roots that are NOT PERFECT SQUARES! My students are always more engaged when a worksheet doesn't look like a "boring old worksheet", so disguise it as a maze! Your students will enjoy finding the right path for the hungry elephant to follow to find his peanut lunch.
Each problem has a square root that the students must estimate and choose the correct path. For example, one box says √37, so the students must know the square root is between 6 and 7,but closer to 6. So, they would choose 6.1 out of the choices.
