This is the individual “Candy Estimation Station” activity from my Centers for the Month of March
Pack. Students estimate how many festive candies (Skittles, Lucky Charms, or even Trix cereal will work!) are in a jar, and then group the candies into arrays of 10 to find the actual amount. They compare their estimate to the actual amount and find the difference. It’s great activity that incorporates many different math skills, and the students always love this hands-on activity!
There are a variety of ways this activity can be used: With your whole class, in small groups with a parent volunteer, or it could even be placed at an independent center or be used as an early finisher activity! Either way, your students (or kids!) are sure to have a blast with this engaging activity that they won’t even know they’re learning!
Included in this pack is:
*A table sign for the activity
*Recording sheets in color and black & white (you choose!)
*Teacher directions, a list of materials, and setup instructions for the game
