This Ethan Frome Final Test is developed to asses a students ability to recall, summarize, interpret and analyze the novel Ethan Frome by Edit Wharton.
The questions cover areas such as setting, main characters, conflict, symbolism found within the novel, and writing a short argument about their views on character actions.
The test is out of 100 points with a possible bonus of 5.
The test content is such that when used in the classroom, students who had read Ethan Frome and participated in class assignments/activities passed quite easily, the majority with As and Bs. Those who did not read the book or participate in class did abysmal.
