Product Description
I'm seeing more and more etymology questions on my third grade students' standardized exams. Personally I think etymology is fun and interesting, especially since I took Latin in high school! It can also be great for English Learners to see familiar word cognates.

Unfortunately, there are not many etymology lessons or practice sheets available. I made this one to introduce the words carnivore, herbivore, and omnivore. These words are all based on Latin roots.

This worksheet includes 7 multiple choice questions, 1 fill-in-the-blank, and a bonus that requires students to use Google. Answer key is included.

This worksheet would work well as a content integration or introduction piece to a science unit on predators and prey.
