The Eukaryote PowerPoint
The eukaryotes Power point begins with a general overview of the eukaryotic cell. It then covers each of the main organelles found in eukaryotic cells beginning with the nucleus, RER, SER, golgi apparatus, vesicle, central vacuole, lysosome, peroxisome, cytoplasm, centrioles, ribosome, to cilia and flagella. The cell membrane, cell wall microtubules and microfilaments are explained. There is a full page comparison of the mitochondria and chloroplast.
The power point also introduces the four eukaryotic kingdoms: animal, plants, fungus and protist. General Cells representing each kingdom are presented and the differences are reviewed.
THE EUKARYOTE MINI-BOOK
The eukaryote mini-book is an easy to assemble foldable in form of a mini-booklet with information covering all eukaryotic organelles and focused differences between animal, plant, fungus and protest cells.
The mini-book only needs four pages and a stapler to assemble. The assembly instructions are easy to follow and included in the file. The illustrations are black and white line illustrations and can be easily colored in by the students.
There are two forms of the student minibooks. Both begin with a fill in the blank title page. However, inside the student version is blank so students can copy or fill in the notes in their own words. The modified student mini-book is a fill in the blank style for students with IEPs, handwriting challenges or if you need to move through the material quickly.
The BLANK eukaryotic mini-book is an excellent supplement to any textbook and can also be coupled with the internet in order to filled out like a web-quest.The finished product can easily be added into an interactive composition notebook, spiral ring notebook or stand alone.
There are two teacher files, one in red ink and one in black ink in case you need to give a student a copy of teacher notes.
The PowerPoint and mini-book can easily be covered simultaneously as guided notes.
