Everything you need to teach Zearn Math and Eureka Math's (Engage NY) Fourth Grade Module 1.

Each lesson is presented in a series of interactive slides. Learning Targets and Common Core Standards are displayed at the top of each slide.

Multiple Ways to Use:

1. Display the slides on your SMART Board/projector to use in whole group lessons and keep you and your students on track throughout the lesson.

2. Print out the PDF file and give to students as a set of notes/independent worksheets that students can complete as you work your way through the lesson.

3. Share the Google Slides with your students. Students are able to fill in their responses to equations, word problems, questions, etc. by typing in the answer boxes provided throughout the slides.

Each lesson is made up of 5 main parts:

• Fluency Practice - Review of previously learned skills.
• This should be a quick ten minute review.
• This can be done during whole group or during a teacher center included in math workshop rotations.

• Application Problem - Word Problem of the Day
• This can be done independently in a math journal, with partners or in a small group, or as a whole class.

• Concept Development - Today’s Focus Lesson

• Problem Set - Independent Worksheets
• Provides practice with today’s skills/concepts.

• Exit Ticket - Formative Assessment
• Allows for a quick check to see what students “got it” and what students will need some reteaching.

Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
