Students review the Age of Exploration by mixing and matching 34 terms to their images and identifications, and answering 7 review questions. Students create their own images for nine terms (a written example is included). This includes a page of teacher instructions. Answers are not included because most questions are open to student opinion and debate.
Sample questions include:
--Which 2 explorers were the most successful, and which were the least successful, and why?
--Should Magellan be credited with circumnavigating the globe, why or why not?
--Did any explorer find the Northwest Passage? If so, how? If not, why not?
--In what ways did technological advancements and the spread of knowledge counter the challenges to exploration?
