PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This power point introduces European Imperialism from 1880-1914. An overview is provided of the reasons for imperialism, the Berlin Conference, the Scramble for Africa, the White Man's Burden, the Boer War, British imperialism in India, the Sepoy Rebellion, and imperialism in China and Japan. There are appropriate images, maps, political cartoons, and recap questions in the slides. It is a brief overview of the topic because different curricula focus more or less on some topics than others, and because students have many activities and projects to complete during this unit to deepen their understanding of the topics the school chooses to focus on, some of which are listed below.

***there is pertinent information in the presenter's notes of the power point, please make sure you look at them***
