This is a good activity to have students begin using variables in expressions. Students are given fun size bags of M&M's or Skittles. The number of each color of candy in the bags represents a given variable for that color. The value of the variables will then be substituted into the expressions for students to solve. Of course, they can eat their candy :-)
Also included are pages with the color of the cany taken off in case you are using holiday or other themed candies. You can write in the colors that match your candies.
No answer key is included because answers will vary.
