Teach your students to analyze and evaluate persuasive arguments in this mini-unit! As students read several articles about the debate on killing barred owls to save spotted owls, students will learn to identify and trace the central argument, claims, supporting evidence, and emotional appeals. They will also evaluate the effectiveness of each article based on its components.
