### Description

Evaluating expressions - plugging in for a variable and simplifying using order of operations: A practice worksheet with a twist -

**This resource is also available in a DISCOUNTED bundle: Expressions & Equations Bundle

This activity offers a little variety for the algebra practice routine. Students work through each problem and hole punch the answer while the paper is folded into fourths. Then, they can come up to a "check station" where a colored check page is laid out. By unfolding their paper and placing it on top, they can see if their answers are right based on the pattern that the holes make.

The 8 problems require substitution for one or more variables and simplifying using order of operations. There are exponents and negative numbers required for evaluating some of these.

Please check out the preview file for more detail about how it works and sample questions.
