Please note that this is two versions in one resource. If you prefer a simple printable PDF, you get it. If you would like a version to "Make a Copy" on Google Docs so that you can edit or add to Google Classroom for your students, you simply go to the very last page of the resource and click the link.
This is a two page worksheet (with full answer key) about evaluating a function for input and output. There are 18 problems total, 10 of which give 5 different x-values to input into a function to compute the output (most linear, but two quadratic functions for a challenge), 6 linear functions where the student must select their own x-values to input in search of the output, and two problems where they are given the output and must use their knowledge of one- and two-step equations to help solve for the input. This worksheet is one of those "No calculator" worksheets, especially in the beginning as they are just learning to do these. Once they understand the "Y=" and "Table" buttons on the TI-84 or other such graphing calculator, these become insanely easy. But without a calculator, they are challenging. If this is exactly what you were looking for, I hope you enjoy it and it saves you some prep time. And thank you very much for your business.
