Product Description
This walkabout / gallery walk enrichment activity includes 20 short secondary-source readings covering topics in the Gilded Age/Progressive Era, and 20 primary- and secondary- source images covering the corresponding topics. The teacher hangs the set of pictures on the wall. Students then work in pairs to read, analyze, and summarize the readings, then walk around and make inferences to match each reading to the picture it is describing. To finish the activity, students write a paragraph evaluating the era. This activity is suitable for a high-school US history class and is great for use with visual and kinesthetic learners (as students must tour the room as they look at the images).

Topics covered in the activity include:

*amusement parks
