Easy to implement, evaluation tools for students that promote student learning ownership!
I created these so that my students could reflect on, evaluate, and justify the outcome of their learning experiences...and they actually work in my K-1 classroom!! Yes, it is possible for a four or five year old to evaluate a learning center, and tell you how to improve it.
I love these. Parents love these. Administrators are amazed when they observe Kindergarten students discussing where they are as they progress on a standard, and what they are doing to 'learn more'.
One page, a classroom rating page, is in color. This is used as students rate how they 'did their work' on a numerical scale. I also use this scale when I rate students completing those hard to grade activities such as puzzles. Along with this is a teacher observation sheet, for you to jot down their ratings, your ratings, or general notes as needed.
The other pages are in black and white, so they are easy for you to copy. Copy on colored paper occasionally to keep students interested in them, and share their comments with the class, keeping individual names confidential.
