Product Description
Have you ever wondered why certain kinds of swimsuits are banned from competition? This issue of Everyday Curiosity investigates the science and engineering related to swimming. It includes a brief discussion about how swimsuit companies try to help swimmers in addition to three hands-on activities related to swimming animals, friction, and floatation.

Issues of Everyday Curiosity are perfect to use when you want to take on engineering challenges, provide additional enrichment, and bridge the gap between home and school.

Everyday Curiosity is a weekly electronic magazine for kids ages 8 to 14 that explores math, science, and engineering in the real world. Each issue asks one big question and has three related hands-on projects to go deeper into the math, science, and engineering behind everyday observations. The projects use supplies that common household items or could be found easily at a grocery store, general department store, or (in rare cases) a hardware store.

Schools that are interested in using Everyday Curiosity to support STEM initiatives should contact me at lindsey@opportunityunlocked.com to discuss school-based licensing.
