This is a fun game that I use to review before an assessment. Included in your purchase are 24 cards with various math content questions based on the Everyday Math Unit 3 Assessment and an answer key. I print the cards on card stock, enough for each group of two to have a set of cards.
*Also needed, but not included:
-24 puzzle piece set, one for each group
-slates and dry-erase markers
How to Play:
1. Each group of 2 or 3 get a puzzle, a set of math review cards, a slate and dry erase marker.
2. All students work together to solve one math review card at a time.
3. A runner will come check their answer with the teacher.
4. If correct, the runner will ask the puzzler to take out one puzzle piece.
If incorrect, the team works together to solve the problem again or sets the card aside for later and tries a different card.
How to Win:
The first team to complete all math problems correctly, and has earned all 24 puzzle pieces, may then put together their puzzle.
The first team to complete their puzzle wins!
