Product Description
In "Everyday Words from the First World War" students are given nine words from the Great War (i.e.,camouflage, over the top, trench coat, liberty cabbage, hush, shell shock, cushy, mock up, and cootie) and are then required to elaborate upon their origins and comment on the ways they have become part of everyday speech. All of this is done through an easily accessible website, which has been included at the bottom of the exercise.
