Product Description
A lesson designed to begin dialogue about racism, discrimination and injustice. Given recent current events with the Trayvon Martin case and the Voting Rights act under fire this lesson would be a good opener to a longer project-based learning curriculum.

The Sneeches by Dr. Seuss is used here to start the discussion. Following the opener, the lesson moves in to a discussion and lecture on the Civil Rights Movement and the March on Washington and culminates with an interactive game-show or social commentary show which allows students to share their experiences with discrimination and bullying.

Identified Social Studies, History and Theatre Arts California Content Standards in the lesson.
