Description

Interested in teaching writing effectively? Interested in starting Writer's Workshop? This resource has everything you'll need to run and organize a writing program in a primary classroom!

Why use Writer’s Workshop Starter Kit: Writer’s Workshop has proven to be a child motivator when it comes to developing writing skills. In order to develop writing skills, children need to write frequently about topics of their choice.

How it works: Writing Instruction should take place daily, allowing the children to write, while conferencing with individuals and small groups to help develop their writing skills. This resource includes suggested scheduling, conferencing materials, and plenty of ideas to keep young writers growing.

What’s included: I've been doing Writer's Workshop for close to 30 years in my second-grade classroom, having been trained by one of the best! Here's a thorough collection of all the materials I use for my Writer's Workshop. This collection has evolved over years of working with children and refining to fit the needs of my classroom. There are pages of suggestions, references, publishing suggestions, ideas for mini-lessons, copies for children's writing folders, and six different kinds of paper for children's writing. There is a word bank, a revision worksheet, and an editing worksheet.
