My students have a hard time citing “relevant” evidence from the text. I came up with these claim stations to help them with the skill of citing relevant evidence, and explaining why they picked that piece of evidence. You will need to cut the evidence strips and place them in a plastic bag or an envelope. It took my class around 5-8 minutes for each claim station, you can use a classroom timer and have the students move to each station or you can create station folders and move the folder from group to group.
