This is a 3 page reading exercise in which students relate physical similarities of two organisms to their DNA (amino acid sequences). Cytochrome c and hemoglobin amino acid sequences of various animals are compared to that of humans. This promotes critical thinking skills as students read and graph.
This activity also ties into common ancestors and how they may play a role in the similarities of two or more organisms.
