The Evidence for Evolution Carousel (stations) is a great way to introduce your students to the evidence we have accumulated to support Darwin's theory of natural selection and evolution. Students travel from station to station analyzing information, data and graphs relating to case studies in evolution, while recording their ideas on the answer sheet provided (SEE PREVIEW). Laminate the stations and you can use them for years to come!

This set of 11 EDITABLE task cards covers: homologous structures, biochemical similarities, comparative embryology, ring species, biogeography, vestigial structures, HOX genes, artificial selection, analogous structures, bacterial resistance and the fossil record. My students find this so much more engaging than another lecture.

I have uploaded this in both a PDF and .pptx format, so you can modify and differentiate for your classroom and students' needs. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED. Enjoy!

Communicate scientific information that common ancestry and biological evolution are supported by multiple lines of empirical evidence. Emphasis is on a conceptual understanding of the role each line of evidence has relating to common ancestry and biological evolution. Examples of evidence could include similarities in DNA sequences, anatomical structures, and order of appearance of structures in embryological development.
