Phylogenetic Hypothesis for Vertebrates
Without the use of resources, only their preconceptions, student groups will label the end of each branch with the classes of vertebrates: Agnathans, Amphibians, Avians, Chondrichthyes, Mammalians, Osteichthyes, and Reptilians
Without the use of resources student groups will indicated which derived trait(s) evolves at each letter, A-F.
Derived trait is hyperlinked to a Wikipedia entry.
Each student group will present their preconception cladograms via Powerpoint.
Great activity for a study in cladistics for AP Biology or any biology course studying taxonomy or evolution.
