This question bank contains dynamically generated two-step equations with integer solutions. Each equation maintains its structure and consistency when generated. If an equation has a negative solution, it will always be generated with a negative solution, similarly positive solutions.
If you are tired of textbook question banks generating one version of a quiz with 2x+3=11 when another one has -3x+4=-11, then you will appreciate this.
There are 55 equations in three sections. The first has equations in the format ax+b=c or a/x +b=c. The second flips them around, e.g. c=ax+b. The third swaps the two terms on the left, e.g. b+ax=c. Also, there are variations of equations with division and negatives. b+x/-a = c is also provided as b-x/a=c.
This is a great bank to generate practice sheets that focus on types of equations where a student really needs some work, rather than slogging through ones he/she already understands. You can also be assured that multiple versions of a quiz will have consistency.
Note, there are no x=0 solutions, nor are any equations set equal to zero (ax+b=0).
