Everybody’s got the blues…sometimes. This document can be used as a project, or brainstorm for a project on different icons of Blues Music. Students examine musicians (41 musicians listed as options) using the FACETs model -- specifically researching the following four areas: (1) The Context of a Work, (2) The Expressive Meanings of a Work, (3) Relating the Creator's Craft to the Entire Work, and (4) The Musical Elements and Form of a Work.

Student's may select one song by one artist, or look at an artist's lifespan and output as a musician.
