This is a lab I do with my students for the topic of cell division, specifically mitosis and the cell cycle. I designed this lab to have more relevancy besides the standard, look at the slide sample, draw what you see. The students actually have a real question or problem that they investigate and have to use the quantitative data they collect to draw a conclusion about the question asked. Included in this worksheet set is a list of supplies, a simple list of procedures and (the best part) a lab analysis packet. This packet will satisfy most state requirements regarding reading and writing in the sciences. It has places for background research, data tables, graphs and reflection questions.
