I use this worksheet to teach my students terminology associated with the different parts of the screen in Excel 2010. With novice Excel users, this helps them to learn the terminology quickly and have something to refer back to during the course when I’m using these terms to explain more in-depth processes. With more advanced Excel users, I use this as a way to activate pre-knowledge (and they usually learn one or two terms they didn’t know in the process!). With my high schoolers, we use this as a fun motivational activity or a simple assessment. When using this worksheet, you can write the terms in a word-bank on the white board for them to use or leave them to their own devices and see how much they know without help!
