"Thanks to your help, Cheri’s Candy-quets has taken off and been a great success! Now Cheri needs some help streamlining her business’ budget and product pricing." This fun project requires students to demonstrate their knowledge by using Excel to create four intermediate level spreadsheets. Students will follow the directions to make budget projections, charts and a pricing table. In making these tables they will demonstrate making charts, using formulas and named ranges, conditional formatting, data validation, protecting cells and other intermediate skills. Student's like this no-nonsense, real world application for these Excel skills. I have used this worksheet for ages 9th grade through adult for either homework practice or assessment depending on the level of student. It is written in simple language (5th grade reading level) and easy to understand directions. Included are the student hand-out, answer key and student document they can download to get started with the project. This project builds on the skills used in the Excel Practice/Assessment Project #1 but can stand alone as well. They do not have to be used together.
