This is an exciting activity that shows the differences between the Federalist and the Anti-Federalist during the ratification of the constitution. This activity includes an exciting do now activity with great visuals, a great compare and contrast activity as well as an exit ticket.
The do now activity includes a fun replication of a soccer field which has two opponents. The do opponents include the federalists and the anti-federalists with some of the views of each. Students will fill in a graphic organizer that determines the differences between the two.
Students will then examine a visual replication of a debate between both the federalists and anti-federalists. Students will answer a series of guided questions! For an exciting debate opportunity, you can break up the students into two groups and decide which ideas would better serve the country. This can be a great research opportunity.
There is an exit ticket that summarizes the lesson.
