Author Note:
I pride myself on teaching government from
"both sides" as much as possible. I do not tell students if I am a Republican or Democrat, which is a
great tool to keep them listening for me to "slip up." However, I have two "soapboxes" in class.
The Electoral College is one of them. I give students a disclaimer at the beginning of this lesson that I WILL be biased... although I do present arguments for both sides. That being said, feel free to tailor this presentation however you see fit. By the way, my bias is towards "abolishing" the Electoral College.
