There's no getting around it: the vision, scope, and role of the American President has changed from Washington to modern times. In this engaging lesson, you will help your students track this evolution through an overview of a few key presidents who changed the course of the Presidency. Then your students will research and evaluate the current American President and evaluate his or her accomplishments, leadership, legacy, and more in a creative research assignment.
Presidents covered in mini lecture overview: Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Wilson, & F. Roosevelt.
